National Ethical Action Opportunities:

The Northern Virginia Ethical Society is affiliated with the American Ethical Union (AEU). At its delegated national assemblies and at meetings of the AEU’s elected national board, the AEU has taken positions on a number of issues attempting to apply our ideals to current issues. The National Ethical Action Committee works with the AEU Board and local societies to support ethical action. The National EAC also publishes a legislative alert bulletin 10 times a year, which member societies and individuals may use to express our views to legislators.

The National Service Conference, affiliated with the AEU, works with other nongovernmental organizations at the United Nations and within the AEU on ethical peace-building and other programs. The AEU works at the United Nations with other members of the Council of Ethics- Based Organizations.
