A note on diversity and agreement: Our members have diverse political positions. We do not require or assume that all members agree with the ethical actions or service projects that the Society supports.  We do not endorse candidates or engage in other partisan political activity, though we encourage our members to take their ideals and skill into such partisan political activities as individuals.  When we take positions as a community on public issues, we require more than a mere majority endorsement of such positions, take them only when a large percentage of our members feel strongly about the issue, and do not require members to agree.
