Help NoVES Raise Funds

We depend entirely on donations -- from members and friends of the Society -- to fund our work. Please consider making a contribution if you are able. The Northern Virginia Ethical Society is a nonprofit organization, and your contributions are fully tax-deductible. Checks may be sent to:

In addition, there are a number of ways you can help the Northern Virginia Ethical Society with your purchases. The organizations below not only offer funds to NoVES for each item bought, but they offer worthwhile items for your consideration.

	iGive.com offers you the chance to shop through hundreds of online outlets -- very likely including ones you use already -- while a portion of your purchase goes to benefit NoVES. Participating online stores include, among many others, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, Dell Computer, Eddie Bauer, J.C. Penney, L.L. Bean, Land's End, Office Depot, Orvis, Omaha Steaks, Timberland and WalMart. Once you go to the iGive.com site, you'll need to register so that your future purchases will be credited to NoVES. Just follow the simple instructions on the page that appears when you click here.
	If you shop at Safeway and have a Safeway card, up to 3% of the value of your purchases can be donated to NoVES automatically. Here's how to register: Go to Escrip Registration You will need to have your Safeway card number handy. The NoVES ID number is 149925702, or you can search for it by name (Northern Virginia Ethical Society). If you don't already have a Safeway card and would like to get one, just go to your local Safeway, or else fill out the application online at Safeway Club Card The company that administers the Safeway program, eScrip, also allows you to sign up your regular credit cards -- Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diner's Club and others -- so that any purchases you make from participating merchants benefit NoVES. 	At CafeShops, you can buy clothing, mugs, tote bags and more items emblazoned with the NoVES logo; some items have a quotation from Felix Adler, founder of the first Ethical Society. A portion of each sale goes to NoVES. See all the items here! Amazon Books	At Amazon.com, you can buy books related to some of the topics of interest in our Adult Growth and Learning program.
	While the Hunger Site doesn't benefit NoVES directly, it does give you the daily opportunity to make a difference in the fight to end hunger. Visit the site, click on the "Give Free Food" button, and food will be donated to feed the hungry in countries like Bosnia, Lebanon, Indonesia, Afghanistan, Honduras, Mozambique, Eritrea and the United States. To date, more than 150 million visitors have clicked to give more than 14,000 metric tons of food (almost 250 million cups of food) to the world's hungry.
	Quickdonations.com has links to many sites (including the Hunger Site) where you can make donations just by clicking, at no cost to you. Causes include hunger, health, the environment and education.
